Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | West Grove, Pennsylvania

An opportunity is available for a licensed Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to provide interim coverage at a small micro-hospital setting. This 10-bed facility provides emergency and inpatient care, offering a chance to take on key leadership responsibilities in a focused and well-defined environment.

Location:
West Grove, PA

Contract Duration:
May 18 – June 30, with a possibility of extension

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, day shifts
• On-call duties required, though with minimal likelihood of being called in

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license required
• Experience in inpatient pharmacy practice essential
• Ability to manage pharmacy operations independently as the sole pharmacist on-site
• Skill in using Cerner for order entry and Omnicell for automation systems

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge, overseeing all pharmacy operations
• Conduct audits ensuring compliance and accurate medication dispensing
• Manage inventory restocking and maintain optimal supply levels
• Participate in on-call rotation with minimal call-ins
• Collaborate remotely with local PIC and Pharmacy Director for training and support

Work Environment:

• 10-bed Emergency Department and 10-bed inpatient micro-hospital
• Solo pharmacist role, no on-site technician support
• No sterile compounding required
