An opportunity is available for a licensed Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to provide interim coverage at a small micro-hospital setting. This 10-bed facility provides emergency and inpatient care, offering a chance to take on key leadership responsibilities in a focused and well-defined environment.
Location:
West Grove, PA
Contract Duration:
May 18 – June 30, with a possibility of extension
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, day shifts
- On-call duties required, though with minimal likelihood of being called in
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license required
- Experience in inpatient pharmacy practice essential
- Ability to manage pharmacy operations independently as the sole pharmacist on-site
- Skill in using Cerner for order entry and Omnicell for automation systems
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge, overseeing all pharmacy operations
- Conduct audits ensuring compliance and accurate medication dispensing
- Manage inventory restocking and maintain optimal supply levels
- Participate in on-call rotation with minimal call-ins
- Collaborate remotely with local PIC and Pharmacy Director for training and support
Work Environment:
- 10-bed Emergency Department and 10-bed inpatient micro-hospital
- Solo pharmacist role, no on-site technician support
- No sterile compounding required
