Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | West Grove, Pennsylvania

A unique opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to serve as the Interim Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) in a micro-hospital setting in West Grove, PA. This contract position runs from May 18 through June 30, with a possibility for extension.

This role is critical in overseeing pharmacy operations for a 10-bed emergency department and 10-bed inpatient facility. As the sole pharmacist on-site, you will assume full PIC responsibilities, managing audits, restocking medication supplies, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain operational oversight of pharmacy services in a small hospital environment
• Conduct PIC duties including audits and medication inventory management
• Collaborate remotely with the local PIC and Pharmacy Director for training and guidance
• Participate in on-call coverage, with a low likelihood of being called in
• Utilize Cerner for order entry and Omnicell for site automation independently, as no technician support is available

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license is mandatory
• Inpatient pharmacy experience strongly preferred
• Proven ability to manage pharmacy operations independently
• Strong organizational and communication skills to coordinate with remote leadership

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, day shift hours
• On-call coverage required, though rarely active
