Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) - West Grove, Pennsylvania

An interim pharmacist is needed to serve as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at a small inpatient micro-hospital with 10 licensed beds. This unique opportunity requires a strong background in inpatient pharmacy and Pennsylvania state licensure. The facility operates a 10-bed emergency department and a 10-bed inpatient unit, providing a focused environment where you will be the sole pharmacist responsible for all pharmacy functions.

Position Details:

• Location: West Grove, PA
• Job Type: Contract, starting September 21
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, day shift
• On-Call: Required, though calls are expected to be rare

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge with full operational responsibility for the hospital pharmacy
• Conduct routine audits and ensure compliance with regulations
• Manage inventory and restocking procedures with support of Omnicell automation
• Utilize Cerner for order entry processing
• Work independently as the sole pharmacist on site without technician support
• Participate in remote training provided by the local PIC and Pharmacy Director to ensure smooth transition and ongoing compliance

Desired Qualifications:

• Active pharmacist license in Pennsylvania
• Proven inpatient pharmacy experience, preferably in a hospital or micro-hospital setting
• Ability to manage pharmacy operations autonomously and take PIC responsibilities seriously
• Familiarity with Cerner and Omnicell systems is preferred but not required; training will be provided
• Strong organizational skills to manage audits, restocking, and operational workflows efficiently
