Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) - West Sacramento, California

An interim Pharmacist In Charge position is available for an immediate start in West Sacramento, CA. This contract assignment is expected to last approximately 8-13 weeks, offering the opportunity to lead pharmacy operations within a dynamic retail environment.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Closed on Sundays

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee full-cycle prescription processing and dispensing
• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients
• Manage and supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow
• Perform pharmacy opening and closing duties
• Complete all required paperwork related to the Pharmacist In Charge role

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years recent retail pharmacy experience; prior experience as a Pharmacist In Charge is highly preferred
• Active California pharmacist license in-hand
• Current Immunization Certification
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Familiarity with McKesson Enterprise (ERx) pharmacy system
