Pharmacist in Charge in Whittier, CA

A dynamic opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Supervisor in an animal health compounding pharmacy setting. This full-time, onsite role is designed for a pharmacist with leadership experience and a strong background in compounding and compliance standards.

• Bakersfield, CA

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:15 AM to 5:15 PM

Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of pharmacists to ensure high-quality compounded preparations
• Oversee daily pharmacy operations and maintain smooth workflow
• Enforce compliance with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> standards along with state and federal regulations
• Maintain accurate training documentation and ensure adherence to proper compounding procedures
• Collaborate with pharmacy leadership and other departments to improve processes and formulations
• Assist with drug selection for dispensing and compounding
• Preserve confidentiality and uphold company policies

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current California Pharmacist license in good standing
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 2 years managing pharmacy lab personnel
• Between 2 to 5 years of compounding pharmacy experience
• Deep understanding of USP standards <795>, <797>, <800>, state boards, and 503A compounding requirements
• Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
