A leading animal health compounding pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Supervisor to manage and inspire a team of pharmacists producing specialized compounded medications. This full-time, onsite role is ideal for a licensed pharmacist with strong leadership capabilities, a deep understanding of compounding standards, and a passion for quality animal healthcare.

Location:

  • Bakersfield, CA

Schedule:

  • Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM–5:15 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of pharmacists in compounding animal health medications
  • Oversee daily pharmacy operations and workflow to ensure efficiency and quality
  • Enforce compliance with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> compounding standards as well as relevant state and federal regulations
  • Maintain accurate training documentation and ensure adherence to proper compounding procedures
  • Assist with drug selection for dispensing and compounded preparations
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and formulation improvements
  • Collaborate closely with pharmacy leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Uphold confidentiality and company policies at all times

Qualifications:

  • Current California Pharmacist license in good standing
  • BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 2 years managing pharmacy staff in a lab setting
  • 2 to 5 years of hands-on compounding pharmacy experience
  • In-depth knowledge of USP compounding standards (795, 797, 800), State Board regulations, and 503A requirements
  • Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
