Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) - Wichita Falls, Texas

A pharmacy leadership opportunity is available for a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) role in Wichita Falls, TX. This position supports a closed-door, hospital-affiliated pharmacy specializing exclusively in behavioral health medications. The pharmacy operates with a high-volume workflow using automation and focuses on dispensing behavioral health drugs in a long-term care-like model, without administering vaccines.

Position Details:

• Location: Wichita Falls, TX
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Script Volume: 350–400 prescriptions per day
• Software: Enterprise RX
• Setting: Closed-door, attached to a behavioral health hospital
• Type: Contract-to-Hire, Local candidates only
• Start: ASAP due to current PIC transitioning out effective March 6th

Responsibilities include managing pharmacy operations as PIC within a specialized behavioral health environment, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and overseeing staff pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. The PIC will maintain streamlined workflows to support efficient prescription fulfillment for an integrated hospital pharmacy.

Qualifications:

• Current Texas Pharmacist License (required)
• Minimum 1 year of PIC or pharmacy management experience
• At least 2 years of pharmacist experience (retail experience acceptable)
• Ability to lead pharmacy staff and coordinate operations in a closed-door pharmacy setting
