This opportunity is for a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) role based in Wichita Falls, TX, starting immediately. The position is contract-to-hire and requires a local candidate. The role supports a closed-door pharmacy embedded within a behavioral health hospital, focusing exclusively on behavioral health medications. The pharmacy operates with a high volume of 350-400 scripts daily and utilizes Enterprise RX software alongside automation to maintain efficient workflows.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Responsibilities include overseeing pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing staff, and coordinating medication management specific to behavioral health needs. The pharmacy supports both walk-in clinic services and outbound prescription fulfillment in a setting similar to long-term care models. It does not administer vaccines.
Qualifications:
- Texas Pharmacist License (required)
- Minimum of 1 year experience as Pharmacist-in-Charge or in pharmacy management
- At least 2 years of pharmacist experience, including retail experience
- Familiarity with Enterprise RX software preferred
