This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge ready to take on a critical leadership role within a 503A Compounding Pharmacy. The position involves full accountability for regulatory compliance and operational excellence in both sterile and non-sterile compounding environments. This role offers a 13-week contract-to-hire term, providing a pathway to permanent placement.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the legally designated Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for all relevant non-resident state pharmacy licenses.
- Act as the primary liaison for Boards of Pharmacy, inspectors, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of operational, ownership, facility, or PIC changes.
- Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding operations, including batch record creation, review, and approval.
- Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives and quality assurance partnerships.
- Supervise pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production staff.
- Support production scheduling to optimize delivery timelines, inventory control, and capacity planning.
Qualifications:
- Active Pharmacist License in Pennsylvania.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Pharmacist-in-Charge or Pharmacy Manager.
- Comprehensive knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, <800>, and applicable state and federal regulations related to 503A compounding.
- Proven experience leading audits and managing regulatory inspections.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate multidisciplinary teams effectively.
Location & Schedule:
- Wilmington, DE
- Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
- Flexible availability on Saturdays if needed
