A well-established 250-bed community hospital in the Kansas City suburbs is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join their team on a contract basis. Location: Independence, MO
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: 13 weeks and beyond

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate order verification to ensure safe medication dispensing
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient pharmacy operations
• Apply pharmacokinetics principles to optimize patient-specific medication therapies
• Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff through clinical consultations
• Utilize Meditech and Pyxis systems for daily workflow management

Qualifications:

• Current Missouri Pharmacist license required
• Hospital pharmacy experience is essential
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
• Familiarity with Meditech and Pyxis software preferred
