A pharmacist role is available in a closed-door mail order pharmacy setting, offering a temp-to-hire opportunity for a dedicated professional seeking a dynamic work environment. This position is based in Indianapolis, IN, with a standard Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and potential Saturday shifts as needed. The contract duration is approximately 13 weeks, with the potential to convert to a direct hire.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications based on prescription orders while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Provide comprehensive medication counseling, educating patients on proper use, side effects, and drug interactions.
• Review and interpret physician orders to confirm the appropriateness and safety of therapy.
• Monitor drug regimens for contraindications, interactions, and therapeutic duplications.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes and promote adherence.
• Maintain detailed patient records, including medication histories, allergies, and interventions.
• Manage medication inventory, including ordering and stocking supplies, and ensure proper storage and handling.
• Participate actively in pharmacy quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues professionally.
• Stay abreast of developments in pharmacy practice through ongoing professional development.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support pharmacy operations.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
• Indiana Pharmacy License mandatory.
• California Pharmacy License preferred; willingness to reciprocate with client assistance in licensing costs is necessary.
• Minimum 1 to 3 years of retail pharmacy experience.
• Ability to travel up to 5% as required.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
