Deliver exceptional pharmaceutical care as a Staff Pharmacist in a dynamic closed-door mail order environment. This temp-to-hire opportunity offers a 2nd shift schedule from 12:30 pm to 9:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays based on need, located in Indianapolis, IN. Collaborate with healthcare providers and patients in a fast-paced setting while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately dispense medications according to prescription orders.
  • Provide thorough medication counseling and education to patients regarding proper use, side effects, and interactions.
  • Review and interpret physician orders to confirm therapy accuracy and appropriateness.
  • Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, interactions, and duplications.
  • Maintain accurate patient records including medication histories, allergies, and interventions.
  • Adhere to federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
  • Oversee proper medication storage and handle expired or damaged products.
  • Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives within the pharmacy.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking pharmaceuticals.
  • Deliver excellent customer service through timely responses to inquiries and issue resolution.
  • Stay informed of the latest pharmacy practice developments and engage in ongoing professional development.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • PharmD degree required.
  • Indiana Pharmacy License mandatory.
  • California Pharmacy License preferred; assistance provided to reciprocate if necessary.
  • 1 to 3 years of retail pharmacy experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 5%.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail essential.

Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday: 12:30 pm – 9:00 pm
  • Potential Saturdays as needed
