Deliver exceptional pharmaceutical care as a Staff Pharmacist in a dynamic closed-door mail order environment. This temp-to-hire opportunity offers a 2nd shift schedule from 12:30 pm to 9:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays based on need, located in Indianapolis, IN. Collaborate with healthcare providers and patients in a fast-paced setting while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense medications according to prescription orders.
- Provide thorough medication counseling and education to patients regarding proper use, side effects, and interactions.
- Review and interpret physician orders to confirm therapy accuracy and appropriateness.
- Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, interactions, and duplications.
- Maintain accurate patient records including medication histories, allergies, and interventions.
- Adhere to federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Oversee proper medication storage and handle expired or damaged products.
- Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives within the pharmacy.
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking pharmaceuticals.
- Deliver excellent customer service through timely responses to inquiries and issue resolution.
- Stay informed of the latest pharmacy practice developments and engage in ongoing professional development.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- PharmD degree required.
- Indiana Pharmacy License mandatory.
- California Pharmacy License preferred; assistance provided to reciprocate if necessary.
- 1 to 3 years of retail pharmacy experience.
- Ability to travel up to 5%.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail essential.
