This opportunity is ideal for a Part-Time Staff Pharmacist seeking a dynamic role in a closed-door mail order pharmacy setting. The position offers shifts Monday through Friday on 1st or 2nd shift (8:00 AM to 9:00 PM), with occasional Saturdays as needed. This temp-to-direct hire role spans approximately 13 weeks and requires a signed agreement.

Responsibilities include accurately dispensing medications according to prescriptions while complying with all federal, state, and local regulations. You will provide thorough medication counseling to patients about proper use, potential side effects, and drug interactions. Reviewing and interpreting physician orders, monitoring drug therapy for contraindications and duplications, and collaborating with healthcare providers are key aspects of this position. Maintaining precise patient records and ensuring proper medication storage are essential compliance tasks. Additional duties involve participating in quality assurance programs, assisting with inventory management, addressing customer inquiries, and staying current with pharmacy practice developments.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • PharmD degree required
  • Indiana Pharmacy License required
  • California Pharmacy License preferred or willingness to reciprocate (client will assist with costs)
  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of retail pharmacy experience
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Willingness to travel up to 5%
