A pharmacy role is available for a Staff Pharmacist specializing in a closed-door mail order environment, offering part-time hours with 1st or 2nd shift options from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed. This temp-to-hire position spans 13+ weeks and requires a signed agreement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately dispense medications per prescription orders with attention to detail
  • Provide thorough medication counseling and education on usage, side effects, and interactions
  • Review physician orders for accuracy and appropriateness of drug therapy
  • Monitor drug therapies for contraindications, interactions, and therapeutic duplications
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to improve medication adherence and patient outcomes
  • Maintain detailed patient records including medication histories and allergy information
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations
  • Properly store and handle medications while monitoring for expired or damaged products
  • Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement activities within the pharmacy
  • Assist with inventory management including ordering and stocking pharmacy supplies
  • Deliver excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues
  • Stay updated with pharmacy practice developments through ongoing professional development

Qualifications and Experience:

  • PharmD degree required
  • Indiana Pharmacy License required
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of retail pharmacy experience
  • California Pharmacy License preferred; or willingness to reciprocate with client assistance on costs
  • Ability to travel up to 5%
