Pharmacist in Indianapolis, IN

A Part-Time Staff Pharmacist position is available in a closed-door mail order pharmacy environment located in Indianapolis, IN. This temp-to-hire opportunity offers either a first or second shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with possible Saturdays based on business needs. The assignment duration is approximately 13 weeks with the potential to transition to a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications according to prescription orders with attention to detail
• Provide counseling and education to patients regarding medication usage, side effects, and interactions
• Review and interpret physician orders to ensure appropriate therapy
• Monitor drug regimens for contraindications, interactions, and duplications
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes and adherence
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records including medication histories and allergies
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations
• Manage the proper storage and handling of medications, including expiration monitoring
• Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives within the pharmacy
• Assist with inventory management related to ordering and stocking pharmaceutical supplies
• Deliver excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving concerns
• Stay current with professional development and advancements in pharmacy practice

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• PharmD degree required
• Minimum of 1 to 3 years’ experience in a retail pharmacy setting
• Active Indiana Pharmacy License
• California Pharmacy License preferred or willingness to reciprocate (assistance with costs provided)
• Ability to travel up to 5%

Schedule:

• Part-Time, Monday – Friday
• 1st or 2nd shift (8:00 AM – 9:00 PM)
• Potential Saturday shifts as needed
