This opportunity offers a dynamic role for a skilled pharmacist in a fast-paced, patient-focused mail order pharmacy setting. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and collaborating with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.

Location: Indianapolis, IN
Schedule: Part-Time, 1st or 2nd shift (8:00 AM – 9:00 PM), Monday through Friday, with possible Saturdays based on need
Job Type: Temporary to Direct Hire (approximately 13 weeks)
Environment: Closed Door Mail Order Pharmacy

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications according to prescription orders
• Provide thorough medication counseling and education to patients regarding proper use and potential side effects
• Review and interpret physician orders to confirm accuracy and appropriateness of therapy
• Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, interactions, and duplications
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance patient adherence and therapeutic outcomes
• Maintain precise patient records, including medication histories and allergy information
• Adhere to all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations
• Ensure proper storage and handling of medications, monitoring for expired or damaged stock
• Participate in pharmacy quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts
• Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking pharmaceuticals
• Deliver excellent customer service by responding to inquiries and resolving issues
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with pharmacy practice advancements

Qualifications:

• PharmD degree required
• 1 to 3 years of retail pharmacy experience preferred
• Indiana Pharmacy License required
• California Pharmacy License preferred or willingness to reciprocate (assistance with costs provided)
• Ability to travel up to 5% as needed
