Pharmacist - Indianapolis, IN

An opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist to support a hospital pharmacy department in Indianapolis, IN. This contract position offers a Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, for approximately 13+ weeks or until a permanent hire is made. This role is well-suited for a pharmacist with VA licensure seeking to apply their skills in a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately verify and process medication orders to ensure patient safety and effective treatment.
• Operate and manage automated dispensing machines, maintaining inventory and functionality.
• Collaborate closely with hospital administrators, physicians, and nursing staff to optimize pharmacy services.
• Utilize data entry and verification systems proficiently to maintain accurate records.
• Support daily pharmacy operations in alignment with hospital protocols.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist with a valid VA license.
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Proficient in data order entry and medication verification systems.
• Familiarity with automated dispensing machines and related technologies.
