Soliant is hiring an experienced Staff Pharmacist for a closed-door mail order pharmacy setting. This evening shift opportunity is ideal for a pharmacist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can provide strong leadership while supervising pharmacy technicians. The right candidate will bring strong clinical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care.
Employment Type: 13+ Week Contract to Hire
Work Hours: Monday – Friday | 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM
Schedule Notes: Possible Saturdays based on business needs
Responsibilities:
- Accurately and efficiently dispense medications per prescription orders
- Review and interpret physician orders for accuracy and appropriateness
- Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and interactions
- Monitor drug therapy for contraindications, interactions, and duplications
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate patient records, medication histories, and interventions
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians on 2nd shift
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws
- Oversee proper medication storage and handling procedures
- Assist with inventory management, ordering, and stocking supplies
- Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
- Resolve customer concerns and provide excellent customer service
- Stay current with pharmacy practice updates and regulations
Qualifications:
- PharmD degree required
- Active Indiana Pharmacist License required
- Active California Pharmacist License preferred, or willingness to reciprocate for California licensure (assistance provided)
- 1–3 years of recent retail pharmacy experience required
- Supervisory or leadership experience required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to travel up to 5% as needed
