Pharmacist | Ingram, Texas

A 120-bed community hospital near Kerrville, TX, is seeking an experienced Pharmacist for a contract position beginning as soon as possible. This role offers the opportunity to contribute your pharmacy expertise in a dynamic hospital setting, supporting patient care with a dedicated team.

Location: Ingram, TX (serving Kerrville area)
Job Type: Contract (13 weeks +)
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday day shifts with start times of 7 AM, 8 AM, or 9 AM
• Coverage every 4th weekend
• Potential to transition to 2nd shift (11:45 AM – 10:15 PM, 10-hour shifts)
• Flexibility with scheduling is highly valued

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications and provide pharmaceutical care to hospital patients
• Collaborate with medical professionals to optimize drug therapies and improve health outcomes
• Utilize Meditech for medical record documentation and MedKeeper for IV preparations
• Manage medication inventory using Omnicell systems
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Current Texas pharmacist license
• Prior hospital pharmacy experience essential
• Proficient with hospital pharmacy technologies such as Meditech, MedKeeper, and Omnicell preferred
• Ability to work flexible shifts including weekend coverage
