Pharmacist in Ingram, TX

A community hospital pharmacy is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join their team on a 13-week contract with the possibility of extension. This 120-bed facility provides an opportunity to utilize your hospital pharmacy skills in a dynamic setting with a supportive team.

Location: Ingram, TX (serving a nearby 120-bed community hospital in Kerrville, TX)

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Friday day shifts (start times at 7 am, 8 am, or 9 am)
• Coverage every 4th weekend
• Potential to transition to 2nd shift (10-hour shifts from 11:45 am to 10:15 pm)
• Flexibility in scheduling preferred

Responsibilities:

• Dispense and manage medications safely and accurately within hospital protocols
• Collaborate with medical staff and nurses to optimize patient care
• Utilize Meditech pharmacy system, MedKeeper for IV management, and Omnicell automation
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state regulations, and safety standards
• Participate in medication inventory control and quality assurance activities

Qualifications:

• Current Texas pharmacist license required
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Meditech, MedKeeper, and Omnicell systems is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to work different shifts and weekend coverage as needed
