A Pharmacist opportunity is available at a small 50-bed hospital in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This contract position offers a chance to support hospital pharmacy operations in a close-knit healthcare setting, with day shifts scheduled for five 8-hour days per week. The assignment begins ASAP and is expected to last 13 weeks or more.
Responsibilities include:
- Verifying medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow
- Consulting with physicians and nurses to provide expert pharmaceutical guidance
- Managing pharmacokinetics and other specialized pharmacy services
- Utilizing Cerner and Omnicell systems for pharmacy IT needs
The ideal candidate will hold a valid Michigan pharmacist license and have prior hospital pharmacy experience. Comfort with working in a remote northern Michigan location is important to thrive in this role.
