Pharmacist in Irvington, KY

This position offers the opportunity to serve as a pharmacist within a 25-bed critical access hospital that also includes an 18-bed skilled nursing facility. The role requires collaboration with healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication use in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Verify and process medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Consult with physicians and nurses regarding medication therapies and adjustments
• Maintain thorough documentation of pharmacological care
• Utilize healthcare IT systems such as Cerner and MedDispense for medication management
• Support regulatory compliance and safety protocols within the pharmacy

Qualifications:

• Current pharmacist license in Kentucky
• Experience working in a hospital setting preferred
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Proficiency with pharmacy-related IT systems, especially Cerner and MedDispense

This contract position is scheduled to start no later than October 12 and is expected to last 13 weeks with the potential to transition to a permanent role.
