Hospital Inpatient Pharmacist in Irwin, PA

A psychiatric hospital in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a dedicated pharmacist for a one-month contract assignment from October 1st to October 31st, with the possibility of extension. This role focuses on ensuring accurate medication distribution and collaborative patient care within an inpatient hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately verify and enter medication orders into hospital systems
• Manage automated dispensing machines efficiently and safely
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and hospital administrators to optimize patient outcomes
• Uphold regulatory standards and hospital policies for medication delivery
• Maintain clear and professional communication within the healthcare team

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license
• Experience in hospital pharmacy, preferably inpatient settings
• Proficiency with data order entry and verification processes
• Familiarity with automated dispensing machines
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills tailored to multidisciplinary teams
