Pharmacist in Ithaca, NY

A retail pharmacy position is available for a licensed Pharmacist in the Elmira, NY area. This permanent role offers a structured schedule with a focus on delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care in a fast-paced retail environment.

Work Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9 AM – 7 PM
• Saturday: 9 AM – 5 PM
• Sunday: 10 AM – 2 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the pharmacy manager to manage inventory by tracking weekly sales and ordering medications to meet customer demand and optimize profitability.
• Accurately weigh, measure, and mix pharmaceuticals; dispense prescription and non-prescription medications with attention to correct compositions and quantities.
• Provide guidance and advice to patients on medication usage and self-care.
• Maintain effective communication with healthcare providers and insurance companies to ensure seamless patient care.
• Administer patient immunizations regularly as part of patient health services.
• Support pharmacy operations by managing staff schedules, recognizing performance, and overseeing work assignments as needed in the absence of the pharmacy manager.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) degree.
• Current and active New York State Pharmacist License.
• Valid New York Immunization Certification is preferred.
• Ability to start immediately.
