Pharmacist | Ithaca, New York

A specialty pharmacist role is available in Ithaca, NY, focusing on clinical and dispensing responsibilities within a newly established Specialty Pharmacy. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with providers—primarily in oncology—as well as collaborate with clinical and pharmacy teams, prior authorization and financial assistance personnel, and support staff involved in transportation and patient services. The average prescription volume is approximately 50 per month.

Location: Ithaca, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Job Type: Contract (with potential to convert to permanent)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 8 weeks or longer

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage clinical and dispensing operations in the specialty pharmacy setting
• Collaborate with oncology providers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care
• Support prior authorization and financial assistance processes
• Coordinate with transportation and support staff to facilitate medication delivery and patient services

Qualifications:

• Active New York State pharmacist license
• Experience in specialty pharmacy required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system is a must
• Background in oncology pharmacy preferred, though not mandatory
• Familiarity with oral oncology treatments is a plus
