A specialty pharmacist role is available to support clinical and dispensing operations for a newly established Specialty Pharmacy. This position involves managing an average of 50 prescriptions per month and working in collaboration with oncology providers, clinical and pharmacy teams, as well as prior authorization, financial assistance, and support staff.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee clinical and dispensing functions in the specialty pharmacy setting
- Collaborate effectively with oncology providers and multidisciplinary teams
- Coordinate with prior authorization and financial assistance personnel to facilitate patient care
- Manage transportation and other support services related to specialty pharmacy operations
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Valid New York pharmacist license
- Experience in specialty pharmacy operations
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system (required)
- Background or exposure to oral oncology pharmacy preferred, but not mandatory
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to interface with clinical staff and providers
Schedule and Location:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Located in Ithaca, NY
- Contract position with a duration of at least 8 weeks
- Start date: ASAP
- Opportunity for travel or relocation to the Ithaca area; potential to transition to temp-to-hire
