This role offers the opportunity to provide critical pharmacy services within an inpatient hospital setting. The position focuses on weekend coverage with additional weekday shifts as needed, allowing for hands-on patient care and collaboration with healthcare teams using advanced technology systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense and manage medications accurately in an inpatient hospital environment
• Utilize Cerner Med Manager for order entry ensuring precise and timely medication orders
• Operate Pyxis automation systems to streamline medication distribution
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication therapy
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and Michigan state pharmacy regulations

Qualifications and Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist in the state of Michigan
• Proven inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Proficient with Cerner Med Manager and Pyxis automation systems
• Ability to work weekends (Saturdays and Sundays, 7am to 7pm) and some weekdays (7am to 10pm)
• Flexibility for possible travel and housing if local candidates are not available

Schedule:

• Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Some additional weekdays from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM as needed

This contract opportunity spans approximately 13 weeks and offers a chance for direct hire upon completion. Candidates local to the area are preferred, though travel and housing options will be considered for qualified pharmacists willing to relocate.
