A small hospital in Florida is seeking a reliable Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for an immediate opening. This 13-week contract offers a steady Monday–Friday day shift schedule and is ideal for a pharmacist who is comfortable taking on PIC responsibilities in a collaborative, patient-focused environment. Leadership experience is welcomed, but this role is best suited for a pharmacist ready to step into oversight duties without the need for extensive director-level experience.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations as Pharmacist-in-Charge
- Perform order verification and ensure accurate medication dispensing
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff on medication therapies
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and hospital policies
- Maintain proper medication storage, safety, and workflow efficiency
Qualifications:
- Active Florida Pharmacist License (required)
- Previous inpatient or hospital experience preferred
- Willingness to take on PIC responsibilities
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
