Pharmacist in Jamaica, NY

An immediate opportunity is available for a licensed Pharmacist to serve in a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) role within a 340B Specialty Pharmacy setting in Bronx, NY. This contract position offers the chance to support patient care and pharmacy operations until a permanent pharmacist is onboarded.

Location: Bronx, NY
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (with a 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM lunch break)
Duration: Contract until permanent placement is found

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive medication support and education to patients, ensuring safe and effective use of therapies
• Manage and mentor pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, offering ongoing education to address knowledge gaps
• Oversee pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Uphold patient safety protocols and support professional pharmacy practices
• Maintain adherence to all applicable regulatory requirements and standards

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid New York State Pharmacist license
• Open to candidates with varying levels of experience, from new graduates to seasoned pharmacists
• Strong leadership skills to manage pharmacy staff and maintain operational excellence
