Per Diem Pharmacist | Jamaica, New York

A healthcare facility in Bronx, NY is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacist to provide essential pharmacy services on an as-needed basis. Immediate coverage is needed beginning Thursday, 10/9, with ongoing opportunities for shifts throughout November and beyond. This role offers a weekday schedule with no nights or weekends, and the facility is closed on most federal holidays.

Location:

• Bronx, NY

Schedule:

• Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• No nights, no weekends
• Closed on most federal holidays
• Per diem, as-needed availability

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert medication support and education to patients, ensuring safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals
• Oversee daily pharmacy operations and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements
• Manage and support pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians, by identifying knowledge gaps and facilitating education and training
• Ensure patient safety and uphold pharmacy professional practice standards

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active New York State pharmacist license
• Experience in pharmacy practice preferred but all qualified candidates considered
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient care
• Ability to work independently and manage pharmacy operations efficiently
