Pharmacist - Janesville, California

A healthcare facility is seeking experienced Pharmacists to fill two night shift positions in Susanville, CA. These roles offer the opportunity to impact patient care directly in a facility with 25 licensed beds and an average daily census of 10. This position is contracted for approximately 8 weeks, with a 7-on, 7-off night schedule starting no later than July 1.

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently to ensure patient safety
• Provide patient consultations and medication information to healthcare providers and customers
• Maintain thorough knowledge of pharmacy rules and regulations to ensure compliance
• Manage medication orders from wholesalers, including receiving and inventory control
• Perform sterile compounding, medication reconstitution, and unit dosing tasks
• Conduct medication audits and remove medications from stock before expiration dates
• Supervise pharmacy technician staff, ensuring quality and compliance with pharmacy operations
• Perform billing and other related duties as assigned within the scope of your license

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Valid pharmacist license with the ability to practice in California
• Experience with medication verification, sterile compounding, and unit dosing
• Familiarity with pharmacy regulations and compliance standards
• Ability to oversee and guide pharmacy technician staff effectively
• Experience or willingness to work with Cerner order entry system; training provided
