Pharmacist - Janesville, CA

A healthcare facility is seeking two licensed Pharmacists for night shift positions in Susanville, CA. This temporary contract opportunity offers a consistent 7-on, 7-off night schedule for approximately 8 weeks, starting no later than July 1. The facility has 25 licensed beds and an average daily census of 10 patients, providing a focused and manageable environment for delivering quality pharmaceutical care.

Responsibilities include verifying medication orders, counseling patients, and supplying accurate medication information to customers. Pharmacists will work closely within regulatory guidelines, handle orders from wholesalers, perform sterile compounding and medication reconstitution, manage unit dosing, and ensure medications are removed from stock before expiration. Additional duties include conducting audits, billing, and supporting pharmacy technician staff through effective supervision. Familiarity with the Cerner order entry system is a plus, but training will be provided.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with relevant state board
• Experience in medication verification, sterile compounding, and patient counseling
• Knowledge of pharmacy regulations and medication inventory management
• Ability to supervise and collaborate with pharmacy technician staff
• Willingness to work night shifts on a 7-on, 7-off schedule
• Familiarity with Cerner or willingness to train
