An opportunity is available for a pharmacist to cover night shifts at a healthcare facility in Susanville, CA. This temporary contract assignment offers a low-volume, manageable workload with a 7-on, 7-off night schedule for approximately 8 weeks.

Schedule:

• Night shifts only
• 10-hour shifts
• 7 days on, 7 days off

Facility Details:

• Licensed Beds: 25
• Average Daily Census: 10
• Order Entry System: Cerner (training provided)

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Provide patient consultation and medication information to customers
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy rules and regulations
• Receive medication orders from wholesalers
• Perform sterile compounding and medication reconstitution
• Manage unit dosing and remove expired medications from stock
• Conduct audits and handle billing as assigned
• Supervise pharmacy technician staff to maintain workflow and quality

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist with active credentials
• Familiarity with Cerner system preferred; training available
• Strong knowledge of medication management, compounding, and pharmacy operations
• Ability to work independently during night shifts in a low-volume setting
• Experience supervising pharmacy technicians is a plus
