Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Provide patient consultation and medication information to customers
- Maintain knowledge of pharmacy laws, rules, and regulations
- Receive medication orders from wholesalers and manage inventory
- Perform sterile compounding and reconstitution of medications
- Conduct unit dosing and removal of medications approaching expiration
- Perform audits, billing, and related pharmacy functions as assigned
- Supervise pharmacy technician staff to ensure compliance and workflow
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Current pharmacist license valid in California
- Familiarity with Cerner order entry system preferred; training provided
- Ability to manage pharmacy operations in a low-volume setting
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Previous experience in sterile compounding and unit dosing beneficial
- Leadership skills to effectively oversee pharmacy technicians
