Pharmacist - Jbsa Lackland, Texas

A night shift pharmacist position is available at a 300-bed community hospital in San Antonio, TX. This contract opportunity offers a 13-week assignment with an ASAP start, providing an excellent setting to utilize hospital pharmacy skills in a dynamic environment.

Schedule:

• 7 on/7 off rotation
• 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)

Location:

• San Antonio, TX, at a hospital within the JBSA Lackland area

Responsibilities:

• Order verification to ensure accuracy and safety of medication dispensing
• Supervising pharmacy technicians and supporting staff
• Consulting with physicians and nurses to optimize patient medication therapy
• Utilizing pharmacokinetics principles for individualized patient care
• Working with Cerner IT systems to manage medication orders and documentation

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Active Texas Pharmacist license required
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong ability to work independently during night shifts
• Proficiency with Cerner or similar health IT systems is advantageous
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for interprofessional collaboration
