Pharmacist - Joliet, Illinois

A healthcare facility is seeking a Night Pharmacist to provide expert pharmaceutical care during overnight hours. This position operates on a 7-on, 7-off night schedule, with shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The role is based in the Chicago area and is available to start as soon as possible, with an initial contract duration of 13 weeks and potential extensions.

Responsibilities include:

• Dispensing medications accurately and safely for pediatric patients
• Managing weight-based dosing and verifying prescriptions
• Utilizing EPIC and Omnicell pharmacy systems effectively
• Collaborating with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
• Ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications and desired experience:

• Valid Illinois Pharmacist license
• Strong hospital pharmacy background
• Experience working with pediatric patients, including comfort with pediatric dosing calculations
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records and Omnicell automation systems is preferred
• Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
