A 250-bed community hospital in the Kansas City, MO suburbs is seeking a Pharmacist for a contract position starting ASAP. This role is ideal for both local candidates and travelers interested in a 13-week or longer assignment.

Location: Kansas City, MO suburbs
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Order verification to ensure accuracy and safety of medication orders
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and coordinate workflow
• Apply pharmacokinetics principles to optimize medication therapy
• Consult with physicians and nurses to provide clinical expertise and recommendations
• Utilize Meditech and Pyxis pharmacy systems for daily operations

Qualifications:

• Current Missouri Pharmacist license
• Prior experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting
• Strong knowledge of medication order verification and clinical pharmacy practices
• Effective communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
• Familiarity with Meditech and Pyxis systems preferred
