A dedicated pharmacist opportunity is available for an overnight shift at a specialized women’s healthcare facility. This 14-week contract position begins March 2nd and involves working a 7-on/7-off schedule from 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM. The role supports patients ranging from newborns to adults, utilizing EMR systems like EPIC to enhance patient care accuracy and safety.

Responsibilities include managing the entire medication process to promote pharmaceutical care, minimizing drug-related issues, and complying with Texas pharmacy regulations. Key duties involve verifying medication appropriateness based on patient-specific factors, accurately entering medication orders, ensuring correct dispensement without errors, and timely delivery of medications. Maintaining aseptic technique in sterile product preparation and fostering adherence to infection control protocols among all staff is crucial. Annual recertification with a high score on aseptic and infection control standards is also required.

Desired Experience and Qualifications: • Minimum of 2 years inpatient pharmacy experience; pediatric experience preferred • Valid Texas pharmacist license • ACPE IV Certification mandatory • Proficiency with medication dosing adjustments related to diagnosis, weight, allergies, and drug interactions • Experience with computer-based medication order entry and EPIC EMR • Skilled in aseptic techniques and infection control compliance
