An opportunity is available for a dedicated Pharmacist to provide critical support at a 25-bed critical access hospital near Clear Lake, CA. This contract position requires a licensed pharmacist with hospital experience, ready to engage in a fast-paced clinical setting and contribute to patient care through medication management and consultation.

Location:

  • Kelseyville, CA (Clear Lake region)

Schedule:

  • Day shifts, four 10-hour days per week
  • Flexible scheduling with potential to block shifts
  • Assignment duration: 13 weeks, starting ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify medication orders ensuring accuracy and safety
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow
  • Consult with physicians to optimize pharmacological treatment plans
  • Manage pharmacokinetics monitoring for patient-specific adjustments
  • Utilize EPIC and Omnicell pharmacy systems effectively

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid California Pharmacist license required
  • Demonstrated hospital pharmacy experience preferred
  • Availability for full-time work during the assignment period
  • Proficient with pharmacy IT systems such as EPIC and Omnicell
