An opportunity is available for a dedicated Pharmacist to provide critical support at a 25-bed critical access hospital near Clear Lake, CA. This contract position requires a licensed pharmacist with hospital experience, ready to engage in a fast-paced clinical setting and contribute to patient care through medication management and consultation.
Location:
- Kelseyville, CA (Clear Lake region)
Schedule:
- Day shifts, four 10-hour days per week
- Flexible scheduling with potential to block shifts
- Assignment duration: 13 weeks, starting ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders ensuring accuracy and safety
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow
- Consult with physicians to optimize pharmacological treatment plans
- Manage pharmacokinetics monitoring for patient-specific adjustments
- Utilize EPIC and Omnicell pharmacy systems effectively
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid California Pharmacist license required
- Demonstrated hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Availability for full-time work during the assignment period
- Proficient with pharmacy IT systems such as EPIC and Omnicell
