Pharmacist in Kennett Square, PA

A 13-week contract to hire opportunity is available for a knowledgeable Non-Sterile Compounding Pharmacist with a strong background in non-sterile compounding and pharmacy practices. This role is based in Kennett Square, PA within a renowned 504 A/B Compounding Pharmacy specializing in bespoke pharmaceutical preparations tailored to individual patient needs.

This position requires overseeing and verifying the accuracy of technicians’ compounded preparations without engaging in hands-on compounding. The pharmacist will ensure all non-sterile compounds meet stringent quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Verify accuracy and compliance of non-sterile compounded preparations following master formula worksheets
• Implement and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance
• Monitor technician adherence to cleaning and garbing policies according to company standards
• Perform calculations and document all relevant compounding data accurately
• Operate and oversee production and computerized equipment to maintain quality standards
• Prepare work areas to meet production requirements and ensure aseptic technique is utilized correctly
• Conduct quality control tests and inspections of compounded medications to ensure purity, potency, and safety
• Stay updated on the latest advances in compounding formulations, techniques, and technologies
• Pursue ongoing professional development related to compounding pharmacy practices

Qualifications:

• Current PA Pharmacist license
• Recent pharmacy experience with a solid background in non-sterile compounding
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compounding procedures
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to patient safety

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
