Pharmacist | Kennett Square, Pennsylvania

A leadership opportunity is available for a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) / Pharmacy Director to oversee all pharmacy operations within a specialized 503A compounding facility. The appointed individual will bear full regulatory responsibility to ensure compliance with state, federal, FDA 503A, and USP standards, managing both sterile and non-sterile compounding processes.

Location:

• Kennett Square, PA

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
• Flexible Saturdays as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the legally designated PIC for non-resident state pharmacy licenses, unless designated otherwise
• Act as the main liaison with Boards of Pharmacy, regulatory inspectors, auditors, and other agencies
• Ensure timely reporting of operational, ownership, or facility changes including PIC transitions
• Oversee all sterile and non-sterile compounding operations and production scheduling to meet on-time delivery and maintain inventory accuracy
• Lead quality assurance initiatives, environmental monitoring, and continuous improvement programs
• Supervise pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production staff
• Review and approve batch records, ensuring compliance and accuracy

Qualifications:

• Valid PA Pharmacist License
• At least 5 years’ experience as a PIC or Pharmacy Manager, preferably in a 503A compounding environment
• In-depth knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, <800> and applicable state and federal regulations
• Proven experience leading audits and regulatory inspections
