This position offers an opportunity to lead pharmacy operations in a specialized 503A compounding setting. As the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC), you will hold the highest level of leadership responsibility over prescription fulfillment and both sterile and non-sterile compounding processes, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

Location: Kennett Square, PA
Term of Assignment: 13 Weeks Contract to Potential Hire
Work Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
  • Flexible Saturdays as needed

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the legally designated PIC for all non-resident state pharmacy licenses unless otherwise delegated
  • Act as the primary liaison for Boards of Pharmacy, inspectors, auditors, and regulatory bodies
  • Ensure accurate reporting of operational, ownership, or facility changes and PIC transitions
  • Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding operations with full regulatory accountability (state, federal, FDA 503A, USP)
  • Lead and supervise pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production staff
  • Manage daily batch records and support production scheduling to maintain timely delivery and inventory accuracy
  • Drive quality assurance initiatives, continuous improvement, and maintain facility readiness

Qualifications

  • Active PA Pharmacist License required
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Pharmacist-in-Charge or Pharmacy Manager
  • Extensive knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, and <800>, along with state and federal 503A compounding regulations
  • Proven experience in leading audits and successfully managing regulatory inspections
