Per Diem Retail Pharmacist | Keokuk, Iowa

A pharmacy-managed site in the southeastern corner of Iowa near the Illinois border is seeking a per diem pharmacist to provide full weekly coverage from Monday, June 22 through Friday, June 29. This opportunity involves supporting a community pharmacy with a strong technician team and working within an established 340B program environment.

Location: Keokuk, IA
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (includes a 1-hour lunch)
  Job Type: Per Diem

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily pharmacy operations including opening and closing procedures
• Supervise pharmacy technicians in a busy retail environment
• Dispense prescriptions accurately while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
• Utilize Datascan by WinPharm system for pharmacy management
• Support 340B pharmacy program initiatives and requirements (preferred but not mandatory)

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Iowa pharmacist license required
• Experience in retail/community pharmacy settings
• Prior supervisory experience with pharmacy technicians
• Familiarity with 340B pharmacy programs highly preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Additional Details:

• Traveler applicants pre-approved for coverage
• Travel reimbursement and accommodations provided if commuting more than 90 miles
• Mileage reimbursed at $0.50 per mile for distances over 30 miles
• Meal stipend available for shifts worked beyond 90 miles
• Hotel arrangements made for distant travelers
