Pharmacist in Kerrville, TX

A hospital in Kerrville, TX is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to provide critical pharmacy services in a 120-bed community facility. This contract opportunity begins as soon as possible and extends for at least 13 weeks, offering a chance to support patient care in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Accurately dispensing medications and verifying prescriptions
• Managing pharmacy inventory using Omnicell systems
• Overseeing IV medication preparation with MedKeeper software
• Collaborating with healthcare teams to optimize pharmacotherapy
• Ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
• Providing coverage every fourth weekend

Schedule and work hours:

• Monday to Friday day shifts, starting at 7 a.m., 8 a.m., or 9 a.m.
• Potential shift to 2nd shift (11:45 a.m. to 10:15 p.m., 10-hour shift) in the future
• Flexibility in scheduling is highly desirable

Qualifications:

• Active Texas pharmacist license
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Familiarity with Meditech clinical IT systems is a plus
• Strong communication and organizational skills
