Pharmacist opportunity available at a 300+ bed hospital and Level III trauma center near Kilgore, TX, in the Longview area. This contract position offers a dynamic environment where clinical expertise and patient-centered care are essential. The facility utilizes EPIC and Pyxis systems, providing a modern and efficient workspace.

Schedule/Hours:

• 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (day shifts)
• Potential for a blocked schedule option (e.g., 8 days on, 6 days off)

Responsibilities include:

• Verifying medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth operations
• Collaborating with physicians and nurses to optimize patient care
• Applying pharmacokinetic principles for dosing adjustments
• Providing specialized knowledge in emergency medicine and neonatal medication when needed

Qualifications:

• Current Pharmacy license in Texas
• Minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient or clinical pharmacy experience
• Strong proficiency with EPIC system preferred
• Experience in pharmacokinetic dosing and emergency medicine highly valued
• Knowledge of neonatal medications is a plus

This is a contract role starting ASAP with a duration of 13 weeks or longer and may convert to a temp-to-hire position. Ideal candidates are confident, detail-oriented, and thrive in fast-paced hospital settings.
