Pharmacist – Per Diem Coverage in Orlando, FL

This per diem pharmacist position offers a valuable opportunity to provide medication dispensing and patient counseling under the direct supervision of the pharmacy manager. Based in Orlando, FL, the role focuses on first-shift hours supporting safe and efficient delivery of pharmaceuticals.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Friday: 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications following all safety and regulatory guidelines.
• Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and regimen adherence.
• Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and in accordance with policies.
• Maintain accurate stock and controlled drug records, including inventories.
• Resolve patient issues and assist with third-party insurance coverage clarifications.
• Utilize Pioneer software for pharmacy operations.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active pharmacist license in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of 1 year experience working in retail pharmacy settings.
• Excellent communication and patient service skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
• Familiarity with pharmacy management systems, preferably Pioneer software.
