Pharmacist in Knoxville, IL

A small, 25-bed hospital in a rural Illinois setting is seeking a licensed Pharmacist with recent hospital experience to support their team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a close-knit hospital environment, making a significant impact on patient care.

Location: Rural Illinois, Macomb area

Job Type: 13-week contract with possible extension
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, either 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Potential weekend rotation

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and safely to patients within the hospital setting
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize pharmacotherapy plans
• Provide pharmaceutical care including medication management and counseling
• Assist in nutritional support and IV therapy as needed
• Apply pharmacokinetic principles to individualize drug therapy
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, state regulations, and pharmacy standards

Qualifications:

• Current Illinois Pharmacist license is required
• Minimum of 1 year recent hospital pharmacy experience
• Additional training or experience in nutritional support, IV therapy, and pharmacokinetics is a strong plus
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously in a small hospital environment
