Pharmacist in La Mesa, NM

A pharmacy staffing opportunity is available for two pharmacists to support a travel assignment in Las Cruces, NM. This contract position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced environment utilizing Meditech pharmacy software.

Location:

• Las Cruces, New Mexico

Schedule/Hours:

• Position 1: 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 12-hour shifts, 7 days on/7 days off rotation
• Position 2: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, 12-hour shifts, 7 days on/7 days off rotation

Duration:

• 13 weeks or longer
• Immediate start preferred

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense prescriptions and medications according to established procedures
• Verify prescription orders and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care and medication therapy
• Utilize Meditech pharmacy system for data entry, inventory management, and documentation
• Provide patient education and counseling on medication usage and potential side effects

Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist with active state license
• Experience with pharmacy operations and dispensing
• Familiarity with Meditech IT system is a plus
• Ability to work extended 12-hour shifts confidently and maintain accuracy
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
