Pharmacist - La Vergne, Tennessee

A mail order and renal specialty pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacist to fill an afternoon shift role from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM in La Vergne, TN. This contract position starts ASAP and lasts approximately 13 weeks, with potential to transition to a permanent opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Perform final verification processes (Pharmacist Verification 1 and 2)
• Verify medication accuracy including correct drug, dosage, and directions
• Cross-check prescription information against hard copies
• Ensure adherence to all safety and quality standards
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff to maintain smooth operations
• Utilize Wellsky pharmacy order entry system (note: no automation in use)
• Manage a high volume of prescriptions, approximately 1000 daily
• No on-call duties required

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist with an active state license
• Comfort working in a fast-paced mail order/renal specialty pharmacy environment
• Proficiency with Wellsky or similar pharmacy order entry systems
• Detail-oriented with strong verification and accuracy skills
• Experience or willingness to adhere to auto-offer hiring process
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during afternoon shift
