A pharmacy opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacist in La Vergne, TN, offering a 13-week contract with potential for contract-to-hire. This role focuses on supporting a busy mail order and renal specialty pharmacy, handling approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily.

Location: La Vergne, TN
Job Type: Contract (13+ weeks; contract-to-hire possible)
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 1:30 PM to 8:30 PM

Core Responsibilities:

• Perform Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) responsibilities.
• Conduct final verification including medication accuracy in bottle/box and prescription direction confirmation.
• Review prescription information against hard copy documentation to ensure accuracy and safety.
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff to maintain efficient workflow in a mail order, renal specialty setting.
• Utilize the Wellsky pharmacy order entry system.

Desired Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist in good standing.
• Experience with mail order or specialty pharmacy operations preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in prescription verification.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently without automation support.
• Familiarity with Wellsky pharmacy software is an advantage but not mandatory.

Additional Information:

• No on-call duties required.
• 40 hours per week on a consistent schedule.
