Pharmacist - La Vergne, Tennessee

Seeking a detail-oriented and experienced pharmacist to support a busy mail order and renal specialty pharmacy. This role offers the opportunity to work with a high volume of prescriptions—around 1,000 per day—within a structured and supportive environment that does not require on-call duties.

Location: La Vergne, TN
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks with potential for contract-to-hire
Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) duties
• Conduct final verification on prescriptions to ensure accuracy
• Confirm correct medication labeling and packaging
• Verify prescription information, including directions, against hard copies
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff to maintain quality and compliance
• Utilize the Wellsky pharmacy order entry system (no automation involved)

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid pharmacist license and necessary state certifications
• Solid experience in pharmacy verification and dispensing procedures
• Familiarity with mail order and renal specialty pharmacy practices a plus
• Proficient with pharmacy order entry systems, preferably Wellsky
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
• Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
