A busy mail order renal specialty pharmacy is seeking a pharmacist with 2-3 years of high-volume experience to join their team on a contract basis. This role offers an engaging opportunity to manage the final verification process for approximately 1,000 prescriptions filled daily, ensuring accuracy and safety in medication dispensing.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) activities
• Conducting final verification of medications to confirm correct drug, dosage, and directions
• Comparing prescription information against the hard copy to ensure accuracy
• Working within the pharmacy’s Wellsky order entry system with no automation involved
• Collaborating with staff to maintain smooth workflow in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a high-volume pharmacy setting
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced workplace
• Comfort with a temp-only contract role, with potential contract-to-hire option
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
• Proficiency with pharmacy order entry systems (experience with Wellsky is a plus)

Schedule and Location:

• Monday through Friday, 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM
• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• On-site in La Vergne, TN
• No on-call responsibilities
