A specialty pharmacy in Lake Charles, LA is seeking a professional staff pharmacist to provide coverage during a maternity leave period. This contract opportunity offers weekday hours with supportive team dynamics in a busy specialty pharmacy environment.

Location: Lake Charles, LA
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Duration: Early May through mid-August (includes 1-2 weeks of training)

Responsibilities:

• Perform standard staff pharmacist duties in a specialty pharmacy setting
• Support the existing pharmacist to ensure seamless pharmacy operations
• Utilize the Epic Willow Ambulatory (Epic WAM) system for order entry and dispensing
• Collaborate closely with pharmacy technician and liaison to manage workflow and customer service

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Louisiana pharmacist license in good standing
• Prior specialty pharmacy or retail pharmacy experience is required
• Proficient with pharmacy dispensing software; experience with Epic Willow Ambulatory is a plus
• Ability to work independently during the coverage period while providing high-quality patient care

Work Environment & Perks:
