This role offers an opportunity to serve as a dedicated pharmacist working day operations in a critical access hospital setting with a 25-bed facility and a daily census of approximately 10 beds. Operating within an efficient team environment, you will manage pharmacy activities and ensure smooth daily operations.
Responsibilities include managing and staffing the pharmacy, performing inpatient duties, sterile compounding as needed, and overseeing verification of IV medications prepared by pharmacy technicians. You will work closely with two pharmacy technicians who support the operation daily. The hospital utilizes Cerner for order entry and Omnicell automation for medication management.
Schedule and Location:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
- No on-call responsibilities
- Location: Lakeview, Oregon
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Inpatient pharmacy experience essential
- Experience in pharmacy management required
- Proficient in sterile compounding techniques
- Valid Oregon pharmacy license
This contract-to-hire opportunity spans approximately 13 weeks, providing a pathway to direct hire upon successful completion.
