A critical access hospital in Lakeview, OR is seeking a skilled pharmacist to fill a contract-to-hire position. This role offers the opportunity to work as a staff pharmacist with a manageable patient census in a supportive environment.
Location: Lakeview, OR
Schedule:
- Days, Monday through Friday
- 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- No on-call duties
Contract Duration: 13 weeks with chance for direct hire
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the working Director of Pharmacy (DOP) and staff pharmacist, primarily focused on inpatient pharmacy duties
- Manage and staff the pharmacy operations effectively
- Perform sterile compounding tasks when required
- Oversee and verify IV preparations completed by pharmacy technicians
- Utilize Cerner for order entry and Omnicell automation systems
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Oregon pharmacy license
- Experience in inpatient pharmacy practice
- Previous pharmacy management experience
- Proficiency with sterile compounding procedures
- Comfort managing a small team, typically 2 pharmacy technicians daily
