Pharmacist in Lakeview, OR

A critical access hospital with a 25-bed capacity is seeking a dedicated and experienced pharmacist to manage and staff their pharmacy. Operating in a close-knit environment, this role focuses on inpatient pharmacy duties with no on-call responsibilities, offering a balanced Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a 13-week initial assignment, presenting a pathway to permanent employment.

Location: Lakeview, OR
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• No on-call duties

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct operational pharmacy (DOP) services as the working staff pharmacist
• Manage pharmacy operations within a critical access hospital setting
• Perform sterile compounding as required
• Oversee and verify medications prepared by technicians, including IV verification
• Collaborate with a team that includes two pharmacy technicians daily
• Utilize Cerner for order entry and Omnicell automation systems

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Oregon pharmacy license
• Proven inpatient pharmacy experience
• Strong pharmacy management and leadership skills
• Competence in sterile compounding practices
• Familiarity with Cerner and Omnicell automation systems preferred
