Pharmacist - Lamont, California

An opportunity is available for a skilled pharmacist to provide expert pharmaceutical services in a 45-bed community hospital setting. This role requires adaptability and clinical expertise to deliver high-quality patient care within a travel assignment. The hospital utilizes Cerner as its IT system, supporting efficient prescription management and patient record keeping.

Location:

• Bakersfield, CA (with an option to travel)

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications and counsel patients on proper usage
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy
• Utilize Cerner system for order entry, medication verification, and documentation
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and hospital policies
• Monitor inventory and manage medication storage accordingly

Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist with active credentials
• Experience working in hospital or clinical pharmacy settings
• Proficiency in using pharmacy IT systems, particularly Cerner
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

This is a contract position offering the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a community hospital environment with a manageable schedule. Flexibility to travel to Bakersfield is required.
