Pharmacist | Lamont, California

A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to provide specialized inpatient pharmacy services at a 45-bed community hospital. This role requires flexibility to travel to Bakersfield, CA, servicing the hospital located in the nearby area of Lamont.

Responsibilities include verifying and dispensing medications, collaborating with healthcare teams to optimize patient care, and managing pharmacy operations using the Cerner IT system. The pharmacist will be integral in ensuring compliance with safety protocols and medication standards within the inpatient setting.

Schedule:

• 4 shifts per week, each 10 hours long
• Variable days and afternoons, with shifts starting at 7:30 AM or 1:30 PM

Qualifications:

• Valid California Pharmacist license
• Minimum 2-3 years of inpatient pharmacy experience
• Proficiency with Cerner or similar pharmacy IT systems is preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
