An opportunity is available for an experienced inpatient pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care in a critical access hospital setting. The role involves supporting multiple clinical areas, including ICU, Labor & Delivery, Medical/Surgical, and the Emergency Department. This position offers a structured Monday through Friday schedule, with rotating weekend coverage, ideal for pharmacists seeking a dedicated inpatient role in a rural environment.

Location:

  • Berlin, NH (Please note this is a rural location; housing availability can be limited. Candidates should plan accordingly and discuss any concerns with their travel coordinator before applying.)
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be considered.

Schedule:

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday: 7:00/7:30 AM – 4:30/5:00 PM
  • Rotating weekends every third weekend, Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 2 to 5 years of pharmacy experience required
  • Previous hospital pharmacy experience is mandatory, with preference for critical access hospital exposure
  • Ability to work independently, especially during weekend shifts
  • Meditech electronic health record experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Omnicell medication dispensing systems is a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage medication dispensing and verification to ensure safe and effective patient care
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across ICU, L&D, M/S, and ED to optimize pharmacotherapy
  • Provide pharmaceutical support and clinical interventions during inpatient care
  • Maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
  • Work independently during weekend shifts, ensuring continuity of care
