Provide expert pharmaceutical care as a Staff Pharmacist during night shifts in a hospital inpatient setting. This role involves ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, offering drug information, overseeing medication distribution, and collaborating closely with medical staff to enhance patient outcomes. The position operates on a 7 nights on, 7 nights off schedule, with shifts from 8:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Thursday through Wednesday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately review, interpret, and dispense medication orders and prescriptions.
  • Monitor and manage patient medication therapies for appropriateness and effectiveness.
  • Maintain departmental policies, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Communicate drug information to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Participate in drug therapy management during medical emergencies.
  • Coordinate pharmacy technician activities to support patient care needs.
  • Uphold organizational values such as empathy, integrity, stewardship, agility, and teamwork.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science or Pharm.D. degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
  • Valid Ohio Pharmacy License in good standing.
  • Minimum of one year hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and families.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous personal and professional growth.

Location:

  • Lancaster, OH

Schedule:

  • Night shifts, 8:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • 7 nights on, 7 nights off (Thursday night through Wednesday night)
