A dedicated Pharmacist is needed to oversee night shift operations within a hospital setting, providing essential pharmaceutical care while serving as the sole pharmacist during critical overnight hours. This contract position requires a licensed Ohio Pharmacist with hospital experience who thrives in a fast-paced, autonomous environment.

Work Schedule:

  • 7 days on / 7 days off rotation
  • Night shift hours: 8:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • Sole pharmacist coverage between 11:30 PM and 6:00 AM, supported by Certified Pharmacy Technicians throughout the night

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately review, interpret, and dispense medication orders and prescriptions
  • Monitor patient medication therapies for safety and efficacy, ensuring age-appropriate regimens
  • Maintain compliance with all established pharmacy policies, procedures, and quality programs
  • Provide timely drug information to patients, families, and healthcare providers
  • Support emergency drug therapy management during critical medical situations
  • Coordinate pharmacy technician activities to optimize department effectiveness
  • Uphold mission values including empathy, integrity, stewardship, agility, and teamwork
  • Commit to continuous quality improvement and a safe working environment

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science or Pharm.D. degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy
  • Valid Ohio Pharmacist license in good standing
  • Minimum one year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently during overnight shifts
