A temporary pharmacist role is available in a community hospital setting requiring Ohio licensure. This position offers a full-time schedule, Monday through Friday with additional on-call duties and occasional Saturdays, ideal for a pharmacy professional seeking a dynamic and hands-on experience in a smaller hospital environment.
Location
- Lancaster/Logan, OH area (at a 25-bed facility with a daily patient census averaging 25-30)
Schedule & Hours
- 40 hours per week
- Monday-Friday, 7:30 am to 6:00 pm
- On-call hours after some shifts
- Occasional Saturdays, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Responsibilities
- Dispense and verify medications in compliance with hospital policies and clinical guidelines
- Provide pharmacy support and consultation to emergency department, infusion services, and orthopedic units
- Utilize EPIC order entry system (experience preferred) to review and process medication orders
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy
- Manage on-call responsibilities for after-hours support
Qualifications
- Active Ohio Pharmacist license required
- Experience with hospital pharmacy operations, preferably in small community hospitals
- Familiarity with EPIC order entry system strongly preferred
- Ability to provide clinical support in emergency, infusion, and orthopedic settings
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
